Gang Liu received his Ph.D. degree in Aeronautical  and Astronautical Science and Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology,  Harbin, China, in 2013. From Feb. 2011 to Oct. 2012, he worked in the  Material Research Institute of The Pennsylvania State University as  Visiting  Scholar. He is now a  Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Center for High Pressure Science and  Technology Advanced Research, Shanghai, China. His research interests are in  the field of piezoelectric and ferroelectric single crystals and ceramics, as  well as the response of other functional materials under various external  stimuli.
