Dr. Raimundas Sereika

Dr. Raimundas Sereika received his Ph.D. in condensed matter physics from the Vilnius University of Lithuania in 2013. Dr. Sereika’s research is in the area of condensed matter and materials physics. His previous experiences include preparation and characterization of various semiconducting, ferroelectric materials. He is interested in theoretical modeling by using Density Functional Theory and experimental investigations of phase transitions, lattice dynamics, and electronic structure. He is now under the supervision of Dr. Yang Ding, with research focusing on the study of pressure induced insulator-metal transition by using novel synchrotron spectroscopic methods.
