Beijing lab


Your training at CREAM:

Successful candidate will work closely with HPSTAR on-site facilities, travel to National Labortaries (e.g. SSRF, Shanghai; ALBA, Barcelona; Petra-III, Hamburge) and collaborate with scientists worldwide to deeply understand using Diamond Anvil Cell (DAC), high-pressure spectroscopy and other high-pressure skills. Everyone has the opportunity to lead research projects related to geoscience or materials science. Group member has the option to follow-up an on-going project in the group or develop his/her own field of research. It is also an option to receive trainings from groups at the cutting edge of high-pressure research for first-principle simulation, crystal structural refinment and programming.


Educational/Experience requirements:

◘  For Ph.D: Bachlor's degree in Physics, Optics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Geology, Geoscience or Engineering. Passion in research.

◘  For Postdoc: Relevent graduate degrees.

◘  Travel up to 25% of time (domestic and international)


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

◘  Research orientated, pragmatic and comfortabe acting quickly and decisively.

◘  Strong attention to details and task organization skills.

◘  Ability to work well with limited supervision and across new techniques.

◘  Ability to work with tight deadlines, particularly at manuscript coresponding, beamtime operation and proposal writings.

◘  Pro-active, results driven. Strong personality and ready to overcome adversities in research.
