High Pressure Technology at HPSTAR

Advancing high pressure research requires both state-of-the-art technology and scientific challenge. In HPSTAR, we have recruited experts from many different fields, and aggressively built diversified technologies both at large facilities (like synchrotron and neutron sources) and in house capabilities since the beginning. So far we  have enabled the scattering, spectroscopy, imaging and time-resolved tools in world wide synchrotron facilities, and made breakthroughs in these development directions.  We have also developed advanced synthesis, loading, and characterization tools. Here we present case studies with x-ray imaging, magnetic property probe, optical and x-ray spectroscopy, transport measurement and time-resolved dynamics study, to  show the research activities at HPSTAR. Further development plan will be discussed.
