Abstract
As the ultimate aims of researches on one-dimensional (1D) nano materials, quasi-one-dimensional atomic/molecular chains are expected to exhibit strong quantum effect and novel optical, electrical and magnetic properties due to their unique 1D structures. At present, synthesis and manipulation of 1D atomic/molecular chains in a controllable way at an atomic/molecular level have been the frontiers of research. High pressure is efficient to change and adjust the distance/interactions between atoms and molecules of materials and has been adopted in the investigation of 1D nanostructures. In this presentation, we will show some recent progress in the high pressure studies of 1D nanostructure (stable at ambient conditions), including iodine chains confined in the 1D nanochannels of zeolite, multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) arrays, as well as 1D carbon chains confined in CNTs. Several examples on the study of 1D nanostructures from other literatures will also be mentioned.

主要从事凝聚态物理的高压研究工作,在新型碳材料、超硬材料的合成及高压转变以及发展高压新技术等方面做出了一系列创新性的工作。如,将偏振拉曼光谱与高压技术结合,解决了高压下一维结构相变的诸多难题;发现了透明的超硬玻璃碳,提出以非晶碳构筑新的超硬碳结构等。近年来在Adv Mater、PRB、APL、Carbon等科学杂志上发表了论文八十多篇,申请获批专利3项,文章被SCI他引五百余次。是Carbon, NJP, JAP,Nanotech等多个国际著名期刊的审稿人,是美国物理学会的特邀审稿人。多次被邀参加国际国内会议并作邀请报告。主持国家自然科学基金(青年、面上)、973项目子课题等。是吉林省首批“春苗科研人才”、霍英东青年基金获得者和省优秀硕士论文指导教师。
