Title: Development and Application of New Solid Lighting and Transparent Display Materials
Abstract:
Solid lighting is an energy-saving industry with national-level emphasis, and enjoys a huge market potential. But lighting materials requires indium. The panel display industry has an even bigger market, but the transparent electrode also requires large amount of indium. Indium is an extremely rare element on earth. With the current consuming rate, the reserve will be drained in 10 years. The sustainable development of industry is facing serious challenge. There is an urgent need to develop new indium-free lighting materials for replacement. Zinc oxide is a cheap material with abundant resources, and is equipped with functions necessary for solid lighting and transparent display. The research team led by Prof. Zhizhen Ye has been dedicated to the preparation, property regulation and optoelectronic application of zinc oxide thin film. And they have made original achievement in realizing electroluminescence of zinc oxide p-type doping under ambient temperature, and the transparent electrode application through photoelectric property regulation of zinc oxide. Such academic result marks domestic and international frontier of the field, and bears significant meaning for the development of new generations of indium-free solid lighting and panel transparent display industry.
