HPSTAR members at the 2016 IUCr High Pressure Workshop
The 2016 IUCr (International Union of CRYSTALLOGRAPHY) high pressure workshop followed last year’s successful workshop at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory, Pohang Accelerator Laboratory (PAL) and Korean Synchrotron Users Association (KOSUA) proudly host the IUCr High Pressure Workshop at the sole synchrotron facility in Korea. PAL is the third-generation light source established in the city of Pohang in 1995 and currently operates 31 beamlines. Especially this year, PAL is launching the fourth-generation PAL-XFEL and looking forward to extending its scientific capability to include high-pressure and extreme conditions science. This year’s IUCr High Pressure Workshop enjoyed vigorous science and culture of Korea.
HPSTARers @ the workshop
HPSTAR director, Dr. Dave Mao, staff scientist Dr. Jungfu Lin, and postdoc Dr. Jack Binns all gave invited talks at the 2016 IUCr High Pressure Workshop in South Korea..
