Impact craters are one of the most common geological structures on all the rocky terrestrial planets and the impact processes affect the formation and evolution of planets in our solar system. The impact crater group focuses on the researches of Chinese impact craters, especially devoted to the study of impact events in mountainous areas, with the goal of discovering new impact craters and deepening our understanding of impact cratering processes, shock metamorphic effects in rocks and mineral as well as Earth’s impact history. The research approach is the combination of field geological investigation and indoor physical and chemical analysis of geological samples. We have discovered three impact craters in China in past five years, i.e. Baijifeng, Hailin, and Jinlin. Welcome scientists from home and abroad to conduct academic exchanges and cooperative research.
撞击坑(陨石坑)是太阳系类地行星表面常见的地质构造,撞击过程对行星的形成和演化有重要影响。本课题组主要从事中国陨石坑研究,特别致力于山地撞击事件的调查,目标是发现新的陨石坑和深化对撞击成坑机制、岩石和矿物冲击变质效应和地球撞击历史的了解。我们采用野外地质调查与地质样品的室内物理和化学分析相结合的方法开展研究,在最近五年发现了白鸡峰、海林、金林等三个撞击坑。欢迎来自于国内外的科学家们进行学术交流与合作研究。欢迎报考本组的研究生。
