The HPSTAR 2026 Scientific Staff Annual Review Meeting was successfully held at the Beijing Branch from July 13 to 16, with over 75 scientific researchers in attendance. This annual gathering is designed to evaluate the annual research progress of the scientific staffs, foster academic collaboration across the center, and enhance the center's overall operational and management efficiency.

The 2026 annual review meeting comprised four core segments:
Annual Progress Presentations: Delivered by PIs and associate researchers, these sessions showcased their latest research outputs and key advances.
Term Reports from Specialist Associate Staff: Covering the capabilities of experimental instruments, user support services, equipment upgrading and development, as well as corresponding scientific outcomes.
Frontier Academic Forums: Focused on cutting-edge research fields including high-pressure materials science, geoscience, hydrogen-related materials and high-temperature superconductors. These forums aimed to refine future research priorities and promote interdisciplinary, cross-branch collaboration across the center.
Laboratory Sessions: Introduction of laboratory capacity of all three branches, as well as comprehensive laboratory safety policies and protocols.
